Phi Psi Academics
The brothers of Phi Kappa Psi believe academics should be our number one focus while in school. Phi Kappa Psi requires that its' members maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 to remain in good standing.
Our goal is for the fraternity to achieve a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. We aim to be better than the average college man and demonstrate our determination for success in life through our achievements. For those brothers who have at least a 3.0 semester GPA, Phi Kappa Psi celebrates their achievement with a pizza party.
Study Hours
At Phi Psi we aim to help each other in all of our academic endeavors and have study hours for brothers to achieve their goals. Members of Phi Kappa Psi are able to use the Founders Memorial Library to study or meet. Meeting times are curently posted on our calendar.
Phi Psi Scholarships
Phi Kappa Psi also chooses to recognize the highest GPA and most improved GPA with scholarship rewards given out within the chapter. We are in the process of getting a Phi Psi plaque to begin a lasting tradition to remember those that have shown great effort within the Fraternity for their academic excellence.
Phi Kappa Psi has the largest endowment fund for scholarships in the nation. All of our members are encouraged to apply for these scholarships and to reduce the costs of college at http://www.pkpfoundation.org
As a chapter we are making efforts to expand our own scholarship programs that are only eligible for Phi Psi’s in the Illinois Iota Chapter.
Members are also encouraged to look through scholarships through http://www.scholarships.niu.edu/scholarships.
